Roundhouse Rumble - Hyperadobe Earthbag Event
Help us finish the earthbags on our hyperadobe roundhouse during this FREE month long event.
The Roundhouse Rumble Hyperadobe Earthbag Event will be held on the Tiny Shiny Homestead from November 7 - December 5th, 2025. We're looking for a small group of people eager to learn hyperadobe that can help us FINISH the earthbag walls on our Hyperadobe Roundhouse. Camping onsite, breakfast and lunch provided each day, stay as long as you're able. No cost, but lots of work.

What is Hyperadobe?
Hyperadobe Earthbag utilizes UV treated raschel mesh tubes filled with soil and compacted into what are esentially formed bricks in whatever shape, size, and length you want.
We've used it to build a solar shed office, chicken garden, composting toilet outhouse, an outdoor shower, and are in the early stages of our huge family roundhouse, all using hyperadobe earthbags.
After laying thousands of feet of bag, publishing hundreds of videos documenting our journey, teaching others our process, and running multiple workshops here on the property, we're trying something new.
In this month-long earthbag extravaganza you'll be working with us side by side as we make our final push to finish all the walls in the Hyperadobe Roundhouse. Aided by an articulating boom lift, we'll be chewing through dirt and need extra hands to help us complete as much as we can before the equipment is returned.
How much bag laying are we talking about? 3 courses on the outer ring, 5 courses on the bedroom ring, 8 courses on the hallway ring, and 9 on the inner circle. Plus the intersecting straight walls that will gradually step up from the lowest to highest circle. Will we get it all done in a month? We have no idea, but we're going to try!

Scheduling
Our goal is to have 5-8 people here each day during the dates above. You can apply for a few days or a few weeks - whatever your schedule allows. Spots are limited, and a video interview is required before confirmation.
Cost + Responsibilities

- Intensive Hands on Hyperadobe Experience (literally tons of it :)
- Daily Earthbagging Sessions (4 hour shifts)
- Help Managing Food & Worksite Cleanup
And just in case we aren't clear - this is A LOT of very hard, sweaty, dirty work. There will be heavy machinery and serious heights involved. This is crazy ambitious to lay this many earthbags in this time period. We hope you're up for it!
Location & Lodging
Camping on-site is available. You must be self-contained (i.e. no disposing of gray or black water on the ground). Porta-Potty and outdoor shower will be provided. Spots may be limited.
If you don't want to camp onsite, there are various Hotels, AirBNB's, and Campgrounds close by that we'll provide via email after you apply. We are located in Cochise County, AZ, and the closest major towns are Benson & Willcox.
