California Coast To Oregon

After leaving the farmlet in Petaluma, we headed north. We overnighted in Fort Bragg along the coast. This is a prime example of how things aren’t always as glamorous as they may seem.

Hey friends! If you keep up with our Instagram account, @tinyshinyhome, then you would know that we’ve been boondocking SO MUCH this year. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it’s just camping without hookups! No water, no sewer, no electricity. Now, while we can go weeks without hookups, there are a few tips and tricks that have made our off grid life a bit easier! Luckily, I have a male model to show you some our top 5 essentials when living off grid for an extended period of time…in no particular order.
This summer has been a bit of a whirlwind. We’ve been wandering up the west coast since leaving Mammoth Lakes. And honestly, it was hard to leave. We had gotten used to the cool breeze and the amazing sunsets. There is just a sense of ease and relaxation there. We’ve visited some pretty great spots so in order for us to remember we’ll start with our first stop on the west coast of California.
We made our way over to Petaluma where we stayed at a friend’s farmlet so we could explore the area.
After being on the road for over two years, we thought it might be fun to look back at our favorite places we've visited. To keep things manageable (for us and you) we decided to break them up into general locations. So we shall begin with the East Coast!
We get asked quite a bit about how we make money on the road. We wrote about that here, but there was one important piece of that puzzle that we didn’t address in detail because it required it’s own post.
That’s right, we’re going to talk about how we get reliable RV internet for full-time travel (and businessing) in your RV.
