Unwanted Visitors In Idaho

We had a fantastic time in Washington. It’s one state that is hard to get tired of. We can’t wait to come back and explore more, but for now…we head east!

With Coeur d’Alene punched in our GPS, we contacted friends, Take That Exit, who used to travel full time but now have a sweet home in northern Idaho. Turns out that they were camping for the weekend up in Priest Lake and said we could join them. The kids were so excited to meet up with their kids again. It had been almost 2 years since we last saw them.

Moving on from Olympic National Park and Port Angles, we found another Boondocker’s Welcome campsite nearby. Well, sort of nearby. It would mean we’d have to take our Tiny Shiny Home on a ferry from Port Townsend to Coupeville. We did that with the 5th wheel and it was stressful then. Spoiler alert: it was still stressful with the Airstream. Mostly just because we had put so much blood, sweat and tears into the remodel.

Olympic National Park: Part 2 & Ada's Birthday

After the first week of exploring the west side of the Olympic National Park, we were eager to continue exploring on the north side. We found another wonderful man through Boondocker’s Welcome who let us stay in his driveway while we took a few days to continue exploring. With our youngest’s birthday coming up the search was on for something fun that she wanted to do.

After our epic crabbing adventure in Nehalem Bay, OR we continued our journey up north to Olympic National Park! We had a quick 2-3 night stay on the way at another fantastic family’s property we got to meet through Boondocker’s Welcome.
