After the fiasco of getting to Stewarts Point on Lake Mead, we were invited by our rescuers to come to their boondocking spot just outside of Zion. There were a few other people coming to join them and we were so excited to meet everyone. We packed up and headed to a cliff in Hurricane, UT.
I have to admit. I had no idea how afraid of heights I really was until I had kids. Now, I'm super paranoid. Maybe you recall the brief panic attack I had when we reached the summit of Bear Den in New York. Yeah, I'm still afraid of heights. I can't be the only one who immediately pictures their kids falling to their death when they're on the edge of a mountain. Jonathan thinks I'm a pessimistic but I say I'm just a realist. I pray and pray for God's hand of protection over my kids every day but I still worry. I'm a mom, I don't know how to make the worrying stop. And wouldn't you know, Adali had to just sit right on the edge.

After our quick overnight in Pecos, TX, we took off early to make it the rest of the way to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. We love caves. I think this is our 3rd since we started traveling full-time. But, when we looked for places to stay that were close to the caverns, we just were not willing to pay $35/night for a site.
We jumped on Campendium’s website (like usual) and found a great boondocking spot that was close enough to the caverns and had great reviews so...on to Dark Canyon Road we go, in Carlsbad, New Mexico! NEW STATE!

When we left Fredericksburg, TX we didn’t have many plans. We loved the area and really wanted to see more of it, then we were told that some of our favorite people were headed to visit their friends in Kerrville! We made plans to stick around until they got into town. We asked around to see if anyone had a driveway we could park in to stay a few days and wait for our friends to show up. Turns out, the very people our friends were visiting (Gene and Cora Jean) had 30amp hookups and water in their driveway! SCORE! We’re headed to Kerrville!
We ended up in Kerrville a couple days before @chirpandgrowl so we had Mr. Gene and Mrs. Cora Jean all to ourselves.

After our fun but exhausting week in San Antonio, we headed to Fredericksburg for a few days. Rain was in the forecast for the entire week so we were a little disappointed that some of our plans would be a washout.
When we got to Fredericksburg we were fortunate to have 2 days of sunshine and one of those days happened to be our 13th anniversary! We headed 18 miles north to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area for the morning and had so much fun. We made our way to the top of the massive pink granite dome and the views were fantastic!

After leaving Highland Hammock State Park, we booked a few days at a Thousand Trails park in Wachula, FL. Thousand Trails Orlando was full so we got in at the overflow park called Peace River. It’s the typical TT park. Everyone smashed in like sardines and up in your business. Not our cup of tea but every now and then we endure it to save some cash. You can’t beat $3 (until we can start boondocking).
We only stayed there 4 nights and I'm glad we did because just a couple days after we left we were told half of the park had to get out of there due to flooding. It was already pretty flooded when we were there. We even saw tow trucks pulling big rigs out of the mud. After our 4 nights there we hopped parks (as you have to do in Florida when staying at TT parks) and made it to Clerbrook RV Park. This was not a horrible park. It was crowded, but we lucked out in a site where not many people were around - and they let us wash our RV! You'd be surprised how many parks don't let you keep your rig shiny and clean.
