After Anchor Down we mozeyed on over to the KOA in Sweetwater, TN to finalize a few things before leaving K-town. While not quite as swanky as Anchor Down, it had a nice laid back vibe, plenty of trees and shade, and most importantly - room for us on a crowded holiday weekend.
It was here that our lives changed forever again, and we officially used the money we made selling our house and car to pay off the loan we got for the RV. In other words, we literally owe nothing to anyone. No leases, no loans, no mortgages.

After our fun time at McCormick’s Creek State Park in Indiana, we headed south to Dandridge, TN. When we purchased our trailer at Tennessee RV we received a coupon for this place called Anchor Down RV Resort. Once we looked it up online, we knew that would be a nice, relaxing week we could spend there and it was close enough for us to go to Knoxville to finish cleaning up the house and making sure everything was out of it.
We got to Anchor Down Monday and got all set up and were really impressed with how nice everyone was and we knew right away that we were at a swanky resort. The grounds were immaculately kept and the view was amazing.

Why Indiana? Well, my cousin, Ryne, was about to marry the girl of his dreams. He and Audrey asked if Adali and Ada could be in their wedding so off to Indiana we went. It was going to be a fast and furious trip but we had several things we needed to get done when we were there.
Upon arrival at McCormick's Creek State Park, we got to our super unlevel spot and finally got backed in, then I started looking around... “Where is the water hook up?” Whhaaaaat!!! How in the world did I miss that? At McCormick’s Creek State Park there are NO sites with water hook ups. So we pull out and go fill our tank with fresh water, (something new) and we asked the DNR to see if there was another spot we could go in because the one we were in was super unlevel and they weren't very busy. Everyone at the park was so nice and helpful. The DNR guy even helped Jon back up into the new site (something we have NOT mastered yet).
So, next thing is to unhook the trailer from the truck...well, I’m looking for separation in the grease plate and the hitch and never see it, so I assume I need to keep raising the trailer... POP...NOTHING...CRAP! I blew the fuse in the jacks and nothing is working now. A quick call to Ditching Suburbia, Michael Boyink, and a call to my dad to stop by Lowes and grab some fuses on his way to come see us and we finally got it working again (another lesson learned).

As we are coming up on a full month of transitioning into our moveable home, I thought I should catch you up on what’s happened so far. The short version, at least.
May 2, 2015 we picked up the 5th wheel (or as we like to call it, RockSteady). A few people had told us we should mount our electrical/brake line inside the bed instead of under the tailgate where it came factory installed. It was one of those things that we just didn’t have time to do before picking it up. We hook everything up and sure enough - our truck bed was too long and the cord was getting caught on turns. So 2 hours later, a new plug is installed in our truck bed, and we were finally on our way.

Well, friends - it's official. We picked up "Rocksteady" - our Grand Design Reflection 323 BHS 5th wheel on Saturday. By the end of the month we'll have closed on the house and officially be full time nomads!
Obviously we have lots to share on the process so far, but wanted to share another big change that is coinciding with the transition.
We've used the name Last Night Ago for lots of different side projects. Ashley's custom wood signs, baked goods, our T-Shirt shop and tons of other little things here and there. We loved it because Jett used to say stuff like, "Mom, did we eat pizza last night ago?" - meaning, "did we eat pizza yesterday?" It was so darn cute we just couldn't help naming a business after it.
But with everything else in our lives changing we decided it was time to start fresh. Last Night Ago was just too generic and didn't really symbolize what we're hoping this site/brand/blog will become.
And so as we launch into this whole "becoming nomads" thing we're officially re-launching Last Night Ago as BareNeckers!
I know what you're thinking, and no we haven't turned into nudists. It will still be safe to look at our pictures, I promise.
But we are going to make a huge effort to be more transparent, more honest and more real - to say what we really think. Our new goal with this blog is to encourage you to take a chance and do something different. It can be big like traveling full time - or small like starting a morning routine. Whatever it is, you can be sure we'll tell you exactly what we think about it, and how it's impacted our lives so you can make your own choice.
So there you go! New logo, new name and new adventures. Here we go!
