Can you believe it? We are officially land owners!
We searched for several weeks back in December for a place to build our own sustainable off-grid homestead, and boy did we find a gem.

As you may know by now, there are 6 of us living full time in our renovated vintage Airstream. And while we built a ton of storage in the process, most of it houses our personal belongings.
But what about all the gear, tools, and utility type stuff? We use our 2017 F250 as our "truck garage."

Friends, it's been a long saga. What started with us looking for off-grid property in SouthEast Arizona turned into us finding a beautiful piece of land that wasn't zoned right for what we wanted to do. That turned into a 5 month long ordeal trying to re-zone property we didn't own yet, dealing with long government processes and a global pandemic slowing things down.

Typically, when you think of a homestead you picture grassy fields, lots of trees and fertile ground. Ours will look quite a bit different out in the high desert of southeastern Arizona.
