You may have read that we just celebrated our 3rd Nomadiversary! I still can’t believe that it’s been THREE years since we said goodbye to the suburbs and headed out on this grande adventure. It’s been a wild 3 years. We’ve learned so much and we are constantly finding things to make our lives a little simpler while on the road.
One of the biggest struggles in a tiny house is keeping things neat. Everything has a place and when it is not in that place, it makes our home feel unkept and dishelved.

Yesterday marked our 3 year Nomadiversary. THREE WHOLE YEARS of adventures on the road! As I was looking back at all we have accomplished since we left suburbia, I just can’t believe how much the kids have grown.

When we left New Mexico, we headed straight for Texas and landed at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. What a place! We had our choice of campsites so we picked a nice spot down by the water and under some trees. It wasn’t until our trailer was covered with tiny worms that we realized that was kind of a mistake.

We’ve been in Texas for awhile now. We left Carlsbad, NM nearly a month ago and have been sucked in by this big lone star state. It’s been a really crazy month for us. We’ve noticed a huge shift in these last few weeks. It’s kind of hard to explain.
Since coming into Texas I’ve honestly been a pretty down in the dumps. I knew it was coming…our trip heading East for a few months. We had planned last fall to come to Indiana for a specific reason, but then those plans changed and we were left with having to decide if we stay West and explore the area that we love so much, or do we keep the original plan and head East to visit family and friends.

We weren’t super excited to be leaving that epic boondocking site at the base of the Organ Mountains, but it helped knowing that there will always be something beautiful about the next place we visit. Even if it happens to be in a dusty cow pasture!
