I don’t love visiting places two (or three) times, but White Sands National Monument is a different story. This is actually our THRID visit to White Sands. While there are a couple really good options for boondocking in the area, sometimes it’s nice to have a good shower and not worry about where to get water next. We were able to snag in a first-come-first-serve spot with electric hookup at Oliver Lee Memorial State Park which is actually the same place we stayed when we first visited White Sands back in 2016.

Okay, yeah. We don’t really have a 'living room' but what to you call a space that is the dining room, master bedroom, office, and theater room? After the response I got from the What's In Our Kitchen post, I figured maybe you'd like to know everything we have, one 'room' at a time!
This space is used the most in our tiny home on wheels. During the day we (usually) put our dinette table up. This is typically where I get a lot of my work done, where we play cards, where we eat, where the kids work on projects and hang out. Jonathan’s office is in this space as well.

Today marks one year!
One year ago we pulled this renovated Airstream out of my parents driveway and headed south. After 195 days of blood, sweat and lots of tears, we were finally on our way. What I thought would be a quick renovation (2-3 months) turned into 6 months and 2 weeks. Things like this always take longer than you think they will. There are so many unknown factors when you begin an Airstream remodel.

We packed up and headed out of Lost Dutchman with boondocking in mind. We had been hooked up for far too long in campgrounds. Even though they were some of our favorites, we were ready for open spaces and zero neighbors. However, it didn't quite work out that way.
