When we left Harris Beach State Park, we went on up the coast to check out William M. Tugman State Park. We booked 3 days and then somehow convinced our friends, Currently Wandering, to ditch their plans and come hang with us for a few days! I think it was because I told them I’d make pie if they came to see us. I'm not above bribing my friends :)
I couldn’t believe that it had been almost two years since we met them in the Florida Keys and went on the most incredible trip to the Dry Tortugas. Instagram has a way of helping us feel connected to all these adventure families and not realizing it’s been SO LONG since we met up in person.
It was so fun for our kids to be with them again. The Curren’s kids are so great at starting up conversations with anyone and are so friendly it makes our kids feel so comfortable. Plus, the universal kid language of Minecraft always helps kids connect with each other.
One morning Jess and I took the kids to the beach and it was such a beautiful day. I think it's nearly impossible to have a bad time when you have sand between your toes and the sound of the waves crashing near by.

Back in 2015 when we were getting ready to ditch the suburbs, we knew we wanted to blog about our journey. We had read countless other blogs that gave us inspiration, encouragement, and knowledge of how life on the road could work. We wanted to share every aspect of our transition with you! The wanderlust musings, the downsizing, the search and purchase of our first trailer, why we sold that trailer and decided to downsize again and renovate a vintage Airstream. You’ve come along with us on this crazy ride and we are so thankful that you’ve taken time out of your day to read about all our shenanigans.
We chose a name for our blog that we thought was fun. We’ve always been called Necker’s cause Longnecker is just so…LONG! We wanted a name that would let you know we’ll be baring our souls and be completely honest with you. We thought it was clever but 2.5 years later…people are still confused about the name Bareneckers.

So, in order to simplify...again...we will henceforth and forever more be called Tiny Shiny Home.
We have some big things planned for the next year and we are so excited to bring you along for the ride. Thank you to all those who chose to send us messages, notes of encouragement, and for your comments on our posts. I am always so excited when people leave comments because I was convinced that the only people who would read our blog is our parents. :)
So, friends...Tiny Shiny Home is here to stay and we have some pretty fun things planned for the next year. Thank you for sticking with us and being honest with us! But seriously, why didn’t you tell us our name didn’t make sense before now??
